SPH method aims at simulating fluid dynamics. However, its mathematical formalism is also able to deal with other physics of continuum mechanics. For instance, SPH can be used to deal with deforming solid material, characterized with an elasto-plastic laws. In the present case, we simulate a farming tire in a clay field. As an engine would do, a torque is imposed on the tire. The tire moves forward, impressing its track in the soft ground.
